Beta program terms
How Draftmount beta codes work, and what to expect while the studio is still being built.
What the beta is
The beta gives you the Draftmount studio before the store opens: chapters and scenes, an ideas board, character and place profiles, and daily goals. It’s a work in progress, and your feedback shapes it.
Beta codes
Codes look like DRAFT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and come from the Draftmount team. You enter a code once, after creating your account, and it stays linked to that account. Unless we tell you a code is meant for a group, it’s for you alone, so please don’t post it publicly.
A code can have an expiry date, a limit on how many times it can be used, and a length of access. We can switch off a code, or a single person’s access, if a code is shared publicly or these terms or the Terms of use are broken.
Where your work lives
During the beta, projects are saved in the browser you write in. Use the same browser on the same device to come back to them, and don’t clear draftmount.com’s site data unless you’ve downloaded your work first.
We can’t see or recover your projects. The download option in the studio is your backup, so please use it.
When the beta ends
We’ll announce the end of the beta on draftmount.com before it happens, so you have time to download your work. Beta access doesn’t automatically turn into a paid plan, and you’ll never be charged without choosing a plan yourself.
Feedback
We’d love to hear what works and what doesn’t: support@draftmount.com. If you send ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Draftmount without owing you anything for them. That never applies to your manuscripts, which stay yours.
