A little space for big stories.
Draftmount began in June 2026 with a simple idea: writing should feel like creating, not like fighting with your software.
Where it started
What began as a small passion project kept growing. Months of development, countless revisions, late nights and plenty of lessons later, Draftmount is ready to welcome writers.
We’re an independent, queer-owned software business, built around a love of storytelling and the people who bring stories to life.
We think writing tools should be beautiful, approachable and actually useful. Whether you’re on your first story or your fifteenth manuscript, you deserve a place where your creativity feels at home.
Made with intention
Draftmount was built with a few things in mind: simplicity, reliability and respect for the writer.
We wanted a studio that feels welcoming without being overwhelming: somewhere to organize your thoughts, develop your ideas and focus on the words that matter.
Every feature has to earn its place. Before anything goes in, we ask one question: does this actually make writing better? If all it adds is complexity, it stays out.
Small business. Big heart.
Behind Draftmount is an independent queer creator.
